Watermelon eatin

We went south to Rush Springs for their watermelon festival. They had booths and crafts along with $1 watermelon slices (1/8 of a melon). We bought some awesome jams there and a $10 orange watermelon. Zeke was upset because he wanted a green one but was satisfied when he saw that it was still green. We cut it open after arriving home and stayed outside to eat it. The boys had their fill and then Dad stripped them down to wash them off with the hose. They thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Fishing

Our first fishing adventure was a success.  The first cast out and we caught ourselves a catfish.  After that only a couple of nibbles though.  This was the boy's first time fishing and Zeke was very excited to hold the fish.  Corban on the other hand was scared when it came his way and Avalon slept in the carrier through the whole thing.  We will be doing a lot of fishing since the pond is right behind our house.

Ready for her big day!

Preview of tomorrow!!!

Thanks to Great-Great Grandma Anderson, Great Grandma Anderson (Nanny), Great Grandma Selman, Grandma Selman (G-ma Raine), Great Grandma Cobb, Grandma Reynolds(Nana), and Mom for all contributing to my blessing outfit. -Avalon

So this is how everyone helped with the outfit: The dress was originally a pillow case that Great-Great Grandma Anderson had crochet around then Nanny embroidered the flowers and birds on it. It was then made into a dress my G-ma Raine and she also crochet around the sleeves. Great Grandma Selman crochet around a hankie that Mom made into a bonnet. The booties were crochet by Great Grandma Cobb. Nana made the cute bracelet to go with. WOW so much work and LOVE went into this outfit, what a lucky little girl.
